Earthquake Monitoring - 6.7 Bolivia and Non Event in California

Catherine Graham - Tuesday, November 22, 2011
Volunteers worked a 6.7 Quake today in Beni Bolivia and investigated a reported event with no magnitude that was later removed from the USGS reporting site.    On the Bolivia earthquake, @Earthquake-Report reports "This earthquake will be felt as a maximum weak shaking in a very vast area of many countries. Not dangerous however.
Reason : very deep in the  hot solid mantle of the earth." The quake was 37 miles SSW of Trinidad, Bolivia.  Investigation showed light activity on the "Did you feel it" USGS site.

In Bolivia, you can reach the police by dialing 110, firemen by dialing 118 and an ambulance by dialing 119.  Trinidad is the capital of Bolivia and has a population of 130k. Bolivia is about the size of Texas and California combined.  The Capital of Bolivia is La Paz.
